Forgetting

Forgetting is also a kind of living wisdom that humans possess, so to speak. There was once a man who could not forget, but he was neither a genius nor happy. It is only when our memories gradually fade with time that we are able to overcome the hardships we face.
But if we forget beyond a certain point, it is a disorder.
We often say that it is OK to forget what you ate, but it is not right to forget what you ate.
There are different types of memory. Episodic memory is the memory of the first time you rode a roller coaster.
The meaning of oranges and bread can be understood because of "semantic memory. We don't know when we learned them.
Once a person learns to ride a bicycle, he or she soon learns to ride again, even if he or she does not ride for years, because "procedural memory" remains.
People with memory impairment have difficulty living their lives because they forget things to do in the future, such as not being able to remember appointments or forgetting to shop. A good number of people seem to lose or dilute their memories of the time before the injury. They say that if they forget memories of their friends, they gradually lose them. When asked by a child about his/her memories of the past, some people say that the child started crying when he/she said he/she did not remember. Some people lose both positive and negative memories, while others lose only one of them. Those who have both impaired seem to live only in the present at any given time, making it difficult to plan for the future based on their experiences.
There are two ways to deal with memory impairment: internal coping methods that are done inside the head and external aids that are done outside the head. Since there are preferences, it is said that the fastest way to cope with memory impairment is to learn to use the coping method that works best for you.
